Partnerships

At Evergreen School, we believe in working closely with our local community to maximise opportunities for our children and young people, helping them to plant strong roots in the place that they live.

We are grateful to the following organisations for working with us to achieve this goal:

Warwick School Foundation – Kings High/Warwick School and Warwick Prep

We are very proud to work alongside the Foundation in a number of ways: Senior Students from the Foundation come to both sites every week to support our students in class which is mutually beneficial.  An outcome of this has been that senior students have also worked at our new Holiday Club in association with Warwick School Foundation.

We also provide student teachers who are training through the Foundation with opportunities to come and work alongside our teachers, as well as providing training and input for SEND.

The foundation also has wonderful facilities that they are happy for us to use and we have taken Evergreen students to concerts at their hall, to the younger students assemblies and we use the theatre for our yearly talent show.

We currently have two sixth form students on weekly work experience placements at Nuffield Health Gym.

Nuffield also support our sixth form students who are undertaking the Health & Fitness Open Awards accreditation by providing weekly access to their gym facilities.

Music of Life visit us weekly to provide workshops for our pupils, culminating in a concert at the end of the academic year.

Leamington Brakes provide weekly sports coaching for our students as part of their Physical Skills curriculum.

We currently have two sixth form students who attend fortnightly work experience at 1 Mill Street. Work experience opportunities at 1 Mill Street have led to part-time employment for some of our young people.

Evergreen is proud to be part of Warwick: A Singing Town project which was started post-Covid to get Warwick singing to bring us all together again.

Our involvement includes taking part in local concerts such as Rotary Club, Weaving Warwick Stories and events at St Marys Church. Although we have been part of these events for many years, Cerys from Singing Town is now leading these for us to link up with other schools – such as singing with Westgate at the local Rotary Club Summer concert.  Cerys also comes into school every week to sing with each class as well as offering some 1:1 singing tuition.

Although the project was initially just for 2 years, we are delighted this will continue and look forward to working with them to further develop opportunities for our young people to take part in music both on our own and with other schools in the town – which is great for our well being.
