As we start to be able to travel again, this may be useful to some of our students & their families:

Passenger Assist is the service for disabled and older passengers. When you contact the train company you’re starting your journey with they can:

*arrange assistance
*help you on and off trains
*reserve wheelchair spaces and seats
*provide you with detailed rail information
*assist with any animals or pets you have with you.

This service is available to anyone with a learning disability or physical disability, as well as mental health difficulties, such as anxiety.

Advice Services

Warwickshire welfare rights advice service are a not for profit agency who specialise in all matters relating to social security benefits.

Citizens Advice South Warwickshire offer free, confidential, impartial and independent advice for all members of the South Warwickshire community.

Family Information Service provide information, advice & one to one support for families in Warwickshire. Advice is available on relationships, finance, housing, parenting, wellbeing and much more.

Mental Health Support

Rise is a family of NHS-led  services providing emotional wellbeing and mental health services for young children and people in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Addiction Advice and Support

This is a free and confidential drug and alcohol service for adults, families, carers and young people.

Compass provides health & wellbeing services (substance misuse, mental health, sexual health & school nursing) to children, young people, adults & families.

Support to Access the Community

ILEAP empowers children, young people and adults with additional needs so that they have the same opportunities as their non-disabled peers to access community leisure provision.

Support for Independent Living

Penderels Trust provides support for Independent Living such as Direct Payments, help to advertise to find a personal Assistant and help with managing personal finances.

Bereavement Support

Winston’s Wish is the UK’s childhood bereavement charity. We support children and their families after the death of a parent or sibling.

Child Bereavement UK supports children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Evelyn’s Gift has two aims: to provide little acts of kindness to people in need and to train as many people as possible in CPR and life-support skills.

Support for Carers

Warwickshire Young Carers is the to help improve the lives of Young Carers across Warwickshire by offering free and confidential support.

Carers Trust Solihull offers support for all carers including Young Carers and Parent Carers living in Solihull.

Carers Trust Heart of England’s aim is to support carers and those they care for by providing the highest possible quality, individually tailored care support service that improves the lives of carers, the people they care for and their families.
